Next, log into your account, navigate to the Placements screen and submit an NP Preceptor Placement Request. This step is essential! In order to match you with a Nurse Practitioner preceptor, we need specific information from the NP Preceptor Placement Request, including:
- Estimated start date and end dates for your clinical rotation
- Specialty
- Approximate number of hours
- Geographic regions such as states or zip codes you’re willing to travel to
We urge you to submit an NP Preceptor Placement Request immediately after signing up. We can’t start the matching process until we receive your Placement Request, so don’t delay! If you need placement for multiple clinical rotations, it’s best to submit them all at once.
After you submit a Placement Request, our NP preceptor finder system automatically notifies matching Nurse Practitioner preceptors. They can then review your Placement Request and profile and the interested ones will send you Offers.
This is one of the key differences between Clinical Match Me and other preceptor placement companies. With other companies, you have to pay a deposit first and then hope a preceptor accepts you. With Clinical Match Me, you don’t pay anything until AFTER a preceptor has sent you an offer.
With other companies, you’re at the mercy of preceptors. With Clinical Match Me, YOU decide which offers to accept. Many of our students receive multiple offers.
Most students are placed within a few days to a week or two. However, if you have a difficult placement, such as an unusual specialty, or an area with few Nurse Practitioner preceptors, we automatically activate AI Preceptor Outreach.
Each offer you receive will contain the preceptor’s location, specialties, CV and other important information. You can message the NP preceptors to ask them additional questions, or to request a video interview.
This is another big advantage of Clinical Match Me. On our platform, you can review preceptor information and interview NP preceptors before paying anything. You only pay AFTER accepting an offer.
After you’ve decided on a preceptor:
- Click the Accept Offer button in your account.
- You’ll receive the student agreement to e-sign and you’ll be directed to our payment form. The price on the payment form will be the same as the amount specified in the offer. The offer price is all-inclusive. It includes both our fee and the preceptor’s honorarium. You will NEVER have to pay anything additional to the preceptor.
- After accepting an offer, you have five days to pay. If you don’t pay within five days, the offer will be canceled.
- We strongly encourage you to pay as quickly as possible after accepting an offer. Although you can wait up to five days, the preceptor isn’t locked in until you pay.
- You can pay for the rotation up-front, or select one of our payment plans which range from 2 – 24 months.
- We offer a Money Back Guarantee that protects you from adverse actions by your school or your preceptor. If your school rejects your preceptor, or your preceptor drops out, you’ll receive a full refund.
Finally, you’ll need to submit your preceptor for approval by your school. You can upload your school’s paperwork to our secure platform. We’ll then forward it to the preceptor and return the completed documents back to you.
We provide the document management service as a convenience, but If you prefer, you may work directly with the preceptor.
If your school rejects the preceptor for any reason whatsoever, just send us the rejection letter and we’ll give you a full refund!
